Who
Fiona
Osteopath
Fiona Hamilton DO PGCE MSc Registered Osteopath.
Fiona has been working in osteopathic practice for over twenty five years. In this time, she has seen a huge range of injuries and illnesses, and treated all kinds of people.
Her career started in sport, where she competed internationally representing team GB in ice figure skating. The various injuries picked up along the way were all successfully treated by osteopaths. This is what created her interest in the discipline, and saw her hang up her skates to devote her time fully to osteopathy in the late 1980s.
Having started with a very structural approach, Fiona took time to learn about other osteopathic approaches after graduation. These included cranial osteopathy, visceral osteopathy and paediatric osteopathy.
Her current practice profile includes many musicians and dancers (both students and professionals). The need to be ‘on form’ and be able to perform to one’s best ability is essential in any competitive environment – and this includes the work place. Osteopathy is an excellent way to support your body in achieving this.
